Dear Saint Andrew Church Family,
Last week I announced that Pastor Heidi's Renewal leave had been extended through April 4, 2021, and that Pastor Heidi had requested to be reassigned.
I also asked that we think about what we wanted to see in a new Pastor. Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call from District Superintendent Dr. Rev. Andrew Foster III this past Wednesday stating that we needed an SPR intake meeting for our new Pastor!
SPR did have an intake and met our new Pastor, effective July 1, 2021. Our new Pastor is well known by many at Saint Andrew. She grew up in Saint Andrew, she is from Boyertown, and still lives in the area. She is the daughter of Mary Bartholomew, a longtime member of Saint Andrew.
Pastor Barbara Seekford will be our new Pastor effective July 1st. She is an ordained elder in the Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church and has served at Bustleton, Chalfont and Yardley UMC Churches as well as being a mentor for candidacy and clergy members. She has a certificate in coaching which has helped her as a Pastor to help people and Churches figure out where God is calling them.
I believe that God has called Pastor Barbara through the Bishop and the District Superintendent just as Pastor Heidi has been called by God to serve him at Saint Andrew.
We must model Christian love and behaviors at all times and in all we do if we are to properly honor God in all we do. Please remember that God has anointed Pastor Heidi and Pastor Barbara.
As we get closer to the time of actual transition, we will keep you informed of upcoming chances to say farewell to Pastor Heidi and to meet Pastor Barbara.
Just a reminder; any questions or concerns should be brought to SPR so that they can be resolved in an expeditious and Christian minded manner.
Thank you and God Bless!
